Tooth-Colored
See ya, cavities. With tooth-colored fillings, it’s like decay never happened.
Seamless cavity repair for kids
A cavity is a hole in the tooth. After the dentist gently removes the decay, this hole needs to be filled to ensure your child’s tooth is strong enough to continue to do its jobs like saving space for the permanent teeth. At San Diego Smile Pros, we use high quality, BPA-free composite fillings for the perfect mix of durability and aesthetics.
Fear-Free Visits
We know the thought of getting a filling can be scary for kids (and parents!). Dr. Kristy Hayes uses modern techniques for painless, efficient care. Before getting started, she’ll explain exactly what’s going to happen and show your child her tools using kid-friendly terms to put them at ease. Then, we’ll set your child up with their favorite Disney+ show and wireless headphones. If your kiddo is still anxious, we also offer safe sedation options, including nitrous oxide and minimal sedation.
The Filling Process
Once your child is numb, Dr. Hayes will remove the decay and clean and prime the tooth. She’ll then fill the space with a composite resin color matched to your child’s smile. After hardening the material with a curing light, she’ll make adjustments and shape and polish the filling so that it looks and feels just like the natural tooth.
